Description
Debussy - Nocturnes; Ravel - Daphis and Chloe, Suite No. 2. Paul Paray - Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Mercury SR-90281, RFR-1/1, early maroon label (no "Vendor"), US pressing.
Condition: Disc: NM. Vinyl looks clean. Only 1 - 2 spindle trails suggest very little play. Plays NM throughout. Jacket: NM-, no marks or writing, no seam separation. Trivial corner bruises at jacket opening. A fine 1st issue copy of one of the scarcest and best sounding Mercs.
About Grading: My grading is based primarily on a careful visual inspection. If I see any marks, I will check them by playing and will tell you both about the marks and what I heard. Occasionally, I will audition a record all the way through if rare, and will again tell you if I do this and what I heard. It is unfortunate that time does not allow me to listen to everything but I try to apply generally used grading standards conservatively.
