1st anywhere UK Decca SDD 497 of the Gabrieli Quartet in Britten & Bridge Quartets & Idylls. 1A1A stamper endings. Plays perfect, in audiophile sound. This is the definitive account of these two Britten works, Sillito, the leader, writes in his 2020 biography and also in the June 2022 Strad that he was requested by the composer in person to have them learn the music, and that he very much approved of the LP after the recording was made at his home (the Maltings Snape) in the final year of his life. SIGNED by All four of the band, not something possible to obtain any more (those still living are well in to their 80s/90s and no longer perform in public). Bridge was Brittens teacher and was never as famous as his pupil, who nevertheless championed him, as here in his suggested companion works for the LP. No SXL of this. Pristine Near Mint record and sleeve, only played by me a few times on a high end system. Too many lps to hear them all often!. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
