DEEP PURPLE - 'IN ROCK'
This exceptional 1st UK pressing dates from initial June 1970 release on the Harvest label: SHVL 777
Both labels omit the EMI boxed logo which was added shortly after release.
Matrix numbers: SHVL 777 A-2 & SHVL 777 B-1
Stamper codes: 2/GM & 1/GD
Vinyl weight: 143g
Housed in an outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover, with original white 'Patents No..' inner-sleeve.

A pristine pair showing only 3 faint spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole only.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculate 'factory-fresh' deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight and bear just a few harmless wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine beneath halogen light. A strong candidate for the final upgrade.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Played less than a handful of times, this superb sounding disc plays without any groove/playwear or any clicks pops or other such distractions. Apart from a trace of low-level vinyl background in a few of the few quieter sections, it is flawless.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
An exceptional example of this lavish cover which retains a clean high-gloss laminated all-round with just a touch of storagewear but no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other significant signs of wear to the front or rear panels.
All corners are in great shape with just a small bump to the upper right rear, but no wear at all to the opening edges.
Both panels inside the gatefold are clean & free from any writing or missing paper.
All seams and the fully worded/laminated spine are in perfect condition.
