Deep Purple Machine Head 1st press Gramophone UK Tri-Panel Insert

Very First pressing with laminated gatefold sleeve and original Tri-Panel insert, later inserts are folded into 4. The Gatefold sleeve is also a first issue, the front panel (side the record does not go in) comes with 2 types of construction. The second issues have back and front of the sleeve just glued together, first pressings have to front part of the sleeve folded in and glued giving a neater finish.
Also included is the original Poly Lined inner sleeve from the early 70's.

I have played the record through both sides and the audio is superb, there are some light crackles in between the tracks and more noticable at the end of the sides, I could only hear any light crackles once during the quieter parts of Lazy on side 2. I would visually grade both sides as near mint although I have to say I could not see any marks or scuffs at all. This is the first time this record has been played for at least 30 years so may perform even better with a deep clean.
The sleeve still retains the gloss from the laminate but does show some creasing and some issues with the laminate on the front right bottom corner where it has bubbled.The spine is clear and uncracked and overall a presentable sleeve but due to the laminate bubbling I grade this as Very Good.
The inner sleeve with patent numbers and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" is in excellent condition.
The Lyric insert has three panels, folded twice and is a matt paper with the catalogue in the top right hand corner and is in near mint condition.
