Description

One of the all time great LIVE albums - should really be in everyone's collection. And if you are in any way a BIG fan of Purple--- heck you should be aiming at an out-and-out banger copy. BECAUSE - an EMI 1st will show and reveal just what a fantastic live performance this was. At their height PURPLE were unstoppable. Original 1st press by Emi.. Gramophone text. Matrix 1/1/1/1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Original inners. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. Listen to Paicey's drumming at the end of MULE -- worldclass.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Playing clean into all of those lowkey instrumental sections... clean as a whistle.. Super quality EMI audio .....You may find the odd very nice copy out there. But I'd argue you should be aiming at near perfect - consistently.. All I could detect was a couple of ticks in the intro to CHILD IN TIME....which otherwise plays very clean with low noise floor.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) Very nice and flat front without ageing. The rear has avoided much of the usual the ageing process. A couple of minor blemishes.. Minimal edge wear and sharp firm openings. Spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing.
