Deep Purple - Shades Of Deep Purple

(Parlophone PMC 7055 UK LP 1968)

 

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve (Garrod & Lofthouse). It also comes with its original company paper inner sleeve. 

The record has black & yellow Parlophone labels which have "The Gramophone Co..." & "Sold In The UK..." texts. It also has 1st press XEX 689-1 & XEX 690-1 matrix stampers. The mother stampers are G 1 & R 1 respectively.

 

Sleeve: There is a 1" bit of wear to the top edge. Some laminate creasing to the front & some fading to the spine. Good+ condition.

Vinyl: Unfortunately the record sticks midway through the track "Love Help Me". Visually the disc doesn't appear too bad. There are mild sleeve rubs that can be seen under a strong light and some light hairline marks. Fair+ condition. The labels are clean & show moderate spindle wear. I have completely play tested this LP. Apart from the already mentioned stick, it plays really well with only very light crackle, here & there, in some quieter places.

 

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
