Special Notes: This is odd. I've owned my record store for 36 years and this is the first time I have seen this. This is a record club pressing. The record club - or the pressing plant they used - mistakenly used A&M Records label blanks. Everything else is correct.  This is not a record to buy if you're looking for a good copy to listen to. The cover has shelfwear and weak seams. The vinyl has some scratches and scuffs, but does not skip. This record is for the person who collects misprints or anything Deep Purple.

Condition Guide:

SEALED: New, still sealed in shrink wrap. (Vinyl is presumed to be mint.)

NEAR MINT (NM): Like new. Vinyl appears to have never been played. Cover shows little, if any, wear.

EXCELLENT (EX): Otherwise near mint but has slight cosmetic flaws that don't affect play. Close to perfect, with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident. The cover might have light ring-wear or minor denting to a corner, but should look close to new.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve, a slight scratch that does not affect play, or some of the original luster may be lost. Cover may have some small bends, denting and ring wear, but there is no writing on it and the seams are intact.

VERY GOOD (VG): Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise. Cover may have heavy ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains.

VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-): Vinyl may have numerous scratches including heavy scratches that will tick, heavy surface noise. The cover might have large seam splits, tears, or writing on the cover that obscures the artwork. I usually don't list records in this condition unless it is an extremely rare title.(Some sellers call these records WBR, or Wrecked But Rare)

Platterpus Records has been in business since 1982. Over the years we have learned that our customers have different preferred methods of cleaning their vinyl. Therefore, we do not clean our vinyl prior to offering it for sale. You receive it in the same condition we did. You can then use whatever method you choose to clean the record. We try to be very accurate when describing our vinyl. If we see heavy fingerprints or excessive dust, we will note it in the description. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us.
