What with being a huge Def Leppard fan, this is a reluctant auction of my pride & joy...


If you’re a collector, or a fan of Def Leppard, you will be aware that this is a highly prized and sought after item which is extremely hard to find.

The Overture


This EP was recorded by Def Leppard’s original line up including Pete Willis and Tony Kenning. Tony left shortly after the recording of this EP.


I’ve owned this for over 15 years’ and have only played it 5 times since purchase. 3 of those occasions were actually today to ensure quality control.


This is Def Leppard’s first self funded release from 1978. From memory, the lyric sheet was drawn by Joe’s mother, but happy to be corrected.


The record has minimal surface wear, but there is a light mark on side 2 - as pictured. This isn’t deep at all and does not affect play.


Side 1 plays well, with a minor micro-second jump during the guitar solo of Getcha Rocks Off. Unless you have a very trained ear, it is hardly noticeable. I can’t find any obvious reason for it, although it could just be the player I was using (not having been switched on in over 10 years).


Side 2 plays perfectly, despite light mark) as mentioned).


This EP is 43 years old, so expect a few audio hisses. Remember: this is not a 2021 digital recording!


Both original outer sleeve and lyric sheet are in excellent condition.


Inner sleeve isn’t the original as it does not fit into the outer sleeve.


Comes from a smoke free environment and has been stored away from sunlight since ownership.
