Description

An original 2nd Issue of LAYLA on the USA Polydor label from 1972. Etching "Sterling". The vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill gatefold cover - no Polydor logo on the front to spoil the artwork! Also included are what look like both original inner sleeves - these are identical with flipbacks. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks across four sides - nothing remotely troublesome. Please note there is very slight edge wobble on the second disc [measured at <1MM at maximum amplitude] which has absolutely zero effect on the audio [guaranteed]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback across four sides with one slight deviation. By and large a clean player which does a great job on this Clapton classic. All we could detect was a touch of lightest static in a couple of tracks [e.g. I am Yours]. Overall a great little player in very fine condition.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Clean front with just a couple of indentations. The rear looks good too with just the lightest handing. The interior seems to be spot on - no issues at all. Edge wear is relatively light with just a tad more along the bottom edge. There's a bit of wear on the spine, but the text all still seems to be legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inners (Ex) Lightest ageing. No splits or markings.
