Here's a superb copy of the rare Avant Garde Guitar Soloist Derek Bailey, on his LP AIDA (In memory of Aida Akira 1946-1978). A UK pressing on the Incus label INCUS 40, this LP is hard to come across in any condition, and this is in nice condition! The record looks hardly played, with perhaps a handful of light surface marks in no way correlating with any errant noises on the playing of the record. Being so sparse this LP would show up almost any imperfection, in the intro of side two there is clearly a little rhythmic crackle but I can honestly not see what it causing this, I can only think it is dust deep in the groove and needs a little cleaning attention (I haven't wanted to clean such a new looking record in case I add hairlines to it! In short, the LP is lovely- VG+ The inner sleeve has a very small tear on it (near the die-cut centre- where it has caught against the outer sleeve when being put back in at some point), as it is plastic lined, this has had no effect on the record. The Outer Sleeve is lovely, with a great all-over laminate gloss, with only 4 "crows-feet" style slight folds in it coming from the spine (the spine it's self is fully legible) however, the adhesive along the top and bottom seams has come undone (neatly- without ripping, just lost it's hold from the back cover, for just over half-way along both the top and bottom seam- I have carefully held this open in the 5th photo for your perusal. This is the only real fault with this rare LP! Though also due to the slight afore mentioned crackle it could possibly do with a little careful clean aswell! Really good luck bidding on this rare avant garde LP, you'll be hard pressed to find better!
