Derek Bailey-Barry Guy-Paul Rutherford ISKA 1903 Incus rare 1st issue double Lp Improvisation musicISKRA 1903 INCUS 3 / 4 (UK) double Lp folder cover rec. in London on August 1970 and May 1972 - issued in 1972, this is the original first issue, with pale blue labels, printed in a few copies and not the later reissue with different cover and white labels.

Side 1 : Improvisation 1 (20:25) Side 2 : Improvisation 2 (5:40) - Improvisation 3 (11:47) - Improvisation 4 (5:12) recorded live at the I.C.A., London, August 1970 Side 3 : Improvisation 5 (5:57) - Improvisation 6 (10:37) - Improvisation 7 (4:29) Side 4 : Improvisation 8 (6:22) - Improvisation 9 (3:38) - Improvisation 10 (3:10) - Improvisation 11 (7:35) recorded at the Colourtone Studios, London, May 1972.
Visual grading : the 2 records are a beautiful EX++ without scuffs or scratches. Very clean vinyls. Both play very well even if, in quieter parts, there is some occasional click here and there and a light occasional short background noise mostly due to vinyl's low quality. Playing grading should be EX Cover grading : cover is only G+ / VG-. Light greyish cover has some darker marks along the edges with some overall moderate wear/dirt darkening but has no writings. The edges and corner has not split but spine has an evident transparent tape. The writing on spine is 95 % perfectly readable (with the sole exception of ' I ' of Incus which is missing). On top of spine and on the top left upper corner there is small thin tear due to a removed tape . However even if cover is only VG- is still a fine example of this rare album considered to be one of the absolutely essential record for free improvised music collectors
