Description
Up for auction is my white label promo double lp album of Derek and the Dominoes, Layla. These are fairly rare, haven't seen many of them. I am downsizing my collection and it's time to let this one go. The outer gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition, almost near mint - there is some whitening of the color at the top edges of the spine, barely noticeable, back panel has a gold promo stamp, front has a blue promotional sticker. The records themselves are really nice, shine like brand new, I almost want to say near mint for all sides, but looking really closely, there are a couple of thin hairline scuffs on side 1, one about an inch long, and one about 1/2' long. On side 2 there is one 1/2' hairline scuff, that is almost invisible. There are no audible effects from these scuffs, both sides play near mint. Sides 3 and 4 are near mint, period, look like new. All four sides play-rated at near mint. White labels are all near mint except for side 3, which has two tiny yellow dots, on his 1/8' in diameter, the other is so small it is almost unnoticeable, looks like the period at the end of a sentence. The original plain white sleeves are really nice, no slits or tears in them, they are completely whole, with a little age-darkening of the paper, and some yellow dots on the outside of one side.. No reserve, just a very reasonable starting bid and buy it now. Shipping only to the United States, via US Postal Service media mail.
