These magazines focused on R & B and Jazz, but that did not stop Record Labels from sending records to promote their rock/new wave/pop/punk artists.

WE ACQUIRED A COLLECTION OF JOHNSON PUBLICATION’S MEMORABILIA FROM COLLECTOR:
HERBERT TEMPLE JR.
MR. TEMPLE WAS THE EXECUTIVE ART DIRECTOR FOR JOHNSON PUBLICATIONS, INCLUDING Ebony, Jet, Ebony Jr. Negro Digest, Black World and Tan Magazine.
His collection of memorabilia includes books, albums, cartoons, canvases, photographs, African art and of course magazines. Many have autographs since Temple worked with the authors at Johnson Publishers. Many of his lps are promos sent by record labels. The books are review copies sent by publishers. Many of the magazines are Advanced Copies used to approve each publication. The photographs are priceless as they mark the history of the magazines and a vision of life that only a publisher like Ebony/Jet could provide.

$4.00 for the first album and .50 CENTS for each additional album purchased. If you are buying lots one full shipping charge applies and shipping for additional lots will be cut in half. I will adjust your shipping when you're finished bidding.
