Description
Rare Demo copy of Diamond Head debut ' Lightning to the Nations' AKA "The White Album", released in 1980 only 1000 copies were pressed of the original vinyl on Happy Face records, cat. MMDHLP 1015 -
This album has become a legendary heavy metal collector's piece due to limited release ,with a white label and white cover (plain plastic inner) and pressed from the original Metal Master disc hence AKA "The White Album".
Each cover was signed by one of the band members, as the album was sold at gigs or via mail order, like so many other bands of the time.
Unfortunately, the only original 1 1/4 Master Tapes were lost after the band sent them to Woolfe Records in Germany - although Woolfe Records did re-release the album, in a cover showing the world on fire. It was also re-released on Sanctuary Records in 2001.
The vinyl is in excellent condition , along with the cover and vinyl, this comes with the track listing typed up and signed off 'DIAMOND HEAD MUSIC LTD'. This particular copy has been hand signed by bassist Colin Kimberly.
