ORIGINAL INSANELY RARE SWAN RECORDS “EDUCATION MATERIAL PHONOGRAPH RECORD DO NOT BEND” MAILER ENVELOPE

On January 29th, 1964, The Beatles recorded the German lyric versions of "She Loves You" at EMI Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris, France. On May 21, 1964 Swan released a single pairing "Sie Liebt Dich (She Loves You)" with the same master recording of "I'll Get You" that served as the B side to the "She Loves You" single. Swan Records came into the spotlight after Brian Epstein leased The Beatles' song "She Loves You" to the label and it became an American #1 hit in January 1964. Swan was also given the rights to the German version of "She Loves You", "Sie Liebt Dich". The currently listed DJ Promotional Copy comes with the original Swan Records 45 RPM mailer envelope measuring 7¾" X 7¾". The envelope contains a red rubber ink stamp with the Swan Records new address below the black Swan logo. Original DJ white promo labels with the “Promotion Copy” banner and “S-4182” catalog number. This promotional record comes in the original kraft paper die-cut sleeve as Swan Records didn’t prepare a picture sleeve for this issue. Swan used 3 different plants to press the copies of this issue. This copy represents the rarest example that was pressed at the RCA pressing plant in Rockaway, NJ. The full matrix numbers of this issue including the hand-etched “VIRTUE STUDIO” in the runout groove on both sides are as follows: Side 1 (Sie Liebt Dich) - S-4182-S-1VIRTUE STUDIO S-4182-S R; Side 2 (I'll Get You) - S-4182-I-1 VIRTUE STUDIO R:

The original Swan Records mailer envelope and kraft paper inner sleeve are in great vintage Near Mint Minus condition without having any splits, tears or missing pieces. The promotional vinyl is graded as Very Good Plus visually with its audio being Excellent. It retains its glossy factory lacquer only having some very light non-feelable surface marks and hairlines as well some scuffs from the paper sleeve, but the majority of them are located in the runout areas. The white promotional labels are super clean and in Excellent condition without having any spindle marks or wear, just having a minimal amount of shelf wear. The vinyl sounds great having a warm and pleasant Mono sound only having some very light static at the beginning and the end of each side which most likely will go away if the record was cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
