I am not an auction house or a collector. I am listing because our family has not much use for this type of item. Many collectable items were left to us by our forebears. We decided we prefer to pay a few bills rather than hold onto something others may have much more interest in having.

This is one of over 100 78rpm records we will be trying to sell.

Clarence Williams was largely responsible for the popularity of the washboard in the late 1920’s.
His washboard bands from 1927-1930 included: WILLIAMS’ WASHBOARD BAND,  WASHBOARD FOUR, WASHBOARD FIVE, and his DIXIE WASHBOARD BAND. Jimmy Bertrand and Jasper Taylor’s musicians in Chicago and Floyd Casey’s in New York also rapidly contributed to the fame of the washboard.

My starting price is based on similar items found through searching popsike.com and other sources. I am trying to be fair to both buyer (you) and seller (me), without a ridiculous buy it now price.

I have a hundred or more 78s from the teens to late 30s slowing getting listed.
All have been kept vertically in record storage boxes with plastic outer sleeve protectors.
Unfortunately, all of the original sleeves were lost years ago. I will try to clean for good photos but I would recommend a thorough cleaning once received.
Unless otherwise noted - all discs are very good to very good+ with no chips, cracks, peeling labels or spindle-hole damage.
Bear in mind I am not an expert on 78s.

All 78s will be shipped via USPS media mail unless otherwise requested. I will ship using the 'sandwich' method to prevent damage.
