Original. Traditional Dial label design - yellow and orange with "dial" in white text. Side A: 4 tracks with Gillespie, trumpet; Lucky Thompson, tenor sax; Milt Jackson, vibes; Al Haig, piano; Ray Brown, bass; Stan Levey, drums. Side B: 4 tracks. 1 track with Gillespie with same personnel as listed above. 1 track with Howard McGhee, leader, trumpet, with Charlie Parker, alto sax; Jimmy Burns, piano; Bob Kesterson, bass; Roy Porter, drums. 1 track with Fats Navarro, leader, trumpet; Don Lanphere, tenor sax; Linton Garner, piano; Jimmy Johnson, bass; Max Roach, drums. 1 track("Superman" a.k.a." The Hymn") lister on the record under Miles Davis name, however, Charlie Parker was the leader, alto sax; Davis, trumpet; Duke Jordan, piano; Tommy Potter, bass; Max Roach, drums. Small sticker on 1 label. Very rare.

Cover: VG++ Intact and clean. Light aging on the Dial catalog info on the back cover. Small scuff on the orange background on the front cover.

Record: VG+ Visually shows no wear. 3 very light surface rub marks. Very clean appearance. A very few clicks on Sidea . There is background groove noise throught out Side A. In contrast there is no background noise on Side B which plays with no interference. Audibly checked.
