Djalma Novaes Corrêa (18 November 1942 – 8 December 2022) was a Brazilian percussionist and composer.

Born in Ouro Preto, the son of a flautist, Corrêa spent his adolescence in Belo Horizonte, and he studied composition and percussion at the Seminarios de Musica of the Federal University of Bahia.

Corrêa started his professional career in a symphonic orchestra. In 1970 he founded the jazz fusion percussion ensemble Baiafro, which he eventually left in 1976. His collaborations include Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben, Maria Bethânia, Gal Costa, Peter Gabriel, Volker Kriegel, Dave Pike. He was part of the supergroup "Quarteto Negro" with Zezé Motta,  Paulo Moura and Jorge Degas. During his career he also composed songs, film scores and incidental music.

Sebastião Tapajós (April 16, 1943 – October 2, 2021) was a Brazilian guitarist and composerfrom Santarém (Pará). He began learning guitar from his father when he was nine years old, and later studied at the Conservatório de Lisboa and at the Instituto de Cultura Hispânica de Madrid. In 1998 he composed the soundtrack for the local Pará film "Lendas Amazônicas". In the 2000s, Tapajós performed in Europe. He recorded more than 50 albums in his career.

Pedro Santos, or Pedro dos Santos (Rio de Janeiro, October 2, 1919 — February 23, 1993), heteronym of Pedro Sorongo and also known as Pedro da Lua, was a Brazilian musician, percussionist and visual artist.
He was a virtuoso percussionist, composer and inventor of percussion instruments such as the electronic bamboo and mouth berimbau. He accompanied names such as Jacob do Bandolim, Baden Powell, Elis Regina, Elza Soares, Sebastião Tapajós, Roberto Ribeiro, Milton Nascimento, Clara Nunes, Paul Simon among others.
