Description
Here is a great sealed copy of Doc Severinsen with the Plano TX Senior High School Bands, conducted by Charles Forque and Mike Stubbs (Honor Band and Symphonic Band, respectively). The album is sealed, so I can't tell anything about the actual record's condition, but I assume, since it's sealed, it's in M condition. There are a couple of corner dings and a few spots where the shrink is split an inch or so, as well as visible ring wear. The pieces on the album are Trittico (Mvt. III, Nehlybel); Overture to Rienzi (Wagner/Grabel); Elegy (David Lovrien) w/the composer on Alto Saxophone (the piece was written in memory of band member Donna Teague who tragically passed away in 1981); Concerto No. 3 for Trumpet (Werle), "Concierto Tipico"; Sonus Ventorum (Claude T. Smith); Psalm 46 (John Zdechlik); La Virgen de la Macarena (arr. Koff, w/Severinsen on trumpet solo); American Montage (arr. Earl "Buddy" Mattei, w/Severinsen on trumpet solo). Also features Dallas-area musicians Fred Crain (keyboard), Carroll Hubbard (fiddle), Bobby Thomas (guitar), Ernie Chapman (electric bass), Colin Bailey (drums).
