Description
Doctor Ross the Harmonica Boss “I’d Rather Be an Old Woman’s Baby Than a Young Woman’s Slave” rare Fortune Detroit blues LP
Cover grade — VG; strong ring wear on cover. Seam wear to upper spine. NO SEAM SPLITS
LP grade — G. Lots of marks but plays much better than it looks, with no skips or sticks.
This is a rare one. Not a perfect copy, but plays great and sounds incredible — this is the only way to hear many of these tracks, as there was a crappy CD reissue 20+ years ago with compromised sound.
Dr. Ross worked 30 years on the assembly line at the General Motors’ truck plant in Flint, MI. Rare Fortune blues LP — a Detroit/Southeastern Michigan classic!
Sadly, there are not many copies of this floating around, even in its state of origin. I feel conflicted about selling this.
About me -- I'm a collector of 25 years and experienced online seller. I grade to high standards and try to describe each LP as accurately as possible.
Grades are: NM (rarely used), EX, VG+, VG, G
I do not sell modern reissues — all LPs are vintage pressings.
Most importantly, I only sell music that I like!
LPs will be taken out of the sleeve during shipping to prevent seam splits, sent in a plastic sleeve with at least one cardboard reinforcement.
While I prefer that you ask your questions upfront, I will listen to reason if there's something dramatically wrong with your order.
