Performer Notes:
- Full performer name: Maceo Parker & All The King's Men.
- Personnel: Maceo Parker (vocals, tenor saxophone); L.D. "Eldee" Williams (tenor saxohpone); Richard "Kush" Griffith, Joseph "Joe" Davis (trumpet); Jimmy "Chank" Nolen, Alphonso "Country" Kellum (guitar); Bernard Odum (bass); Melvin Parker (drums).
- Producers: Ray Riley, B.B. Cunningham.
- Reissue producer: Matt Robin.
- Principally recorded at Sound Of Memphis Studios, Memphis, Tennessee in 1970. Includes liner notes by Phyllis Wickham and Cliff White.
- All tracks have been digitally remastered.
- For a brief time, saxophonist Maceo Parker split off from his regular gig as James Brown's sideman and led the ultra-tight, super-funky All the King's Men. This classic 1970 release was the first of only two recordings, and it showcases Parker's playing as well as a smoking rhythm section (also borrowed from the JBs) on songs like "Shake It Baby" and "Funky Women."
