Dolly Mixture was a Post-Punk Band formed in London. They had some success, playing club gigs, supporting Punk - and Mod Bands as well, but it last two years untill they had their first record release in 1980. Their second single “Been-Teen“ was the first release on Paul Weller’s Respond Label, produced by Captain Sensible and Paul Grey of the Damned. The trio was good friend with the Damned and sang Backing Vocals on Captanin Sensibles singles “Wot“ , “Glad It’s All Over“, “Happy Talk“. Rachel Bor also featured on “Whot NO Meat?“ also by Captain Sebsible. Dolly MIxture had some chart sucsess, but in 1984 the trio broke up . This Double Album was thier only LP release. It was their legacy. “Demonstation Tapes“ featured 27 demo tracks, from 1979 to 1983, and shows with this, a large part of the group’s repertuare.
