TRACKLISTING: Phase III is a finely balanced set from the cream of the crop of British jazz men with veterans Don Rendell and Ian Carr joined by Michael Garrick on piano Dave Green on bass and Trevor Tomkin on drums. Experts in the language of jazz with an elegant lyrical approach to their playing a notable highlight is the closing track Black Marigolds composed by pianist extraordinaire Michael Garrick originally intended as a musical parallel to an ancient Indian story influenced by the Indian raga.

Condition :-

Because the sleeve was never laminated the matt finish has resulted in scuffing from storage. There is a little paper loss along the spine & some mild ring wear but the design still looks stunning as each band member stands out from the black surround in keeping with Garricks idea & all text on the back remains clearly legible.

The original EMI catalogue inner is as new.

The vinyl itself appears super clean with minimal evidence of play by the spindle hole. We would class the condition of the disc between VG+/EX- as there are a couple of light paper hairlines but these are rendered merely cosmetic during play with no intrusions or faults.

By no means mint this remains a very pleasing example at a fairer rate. First class Brit Jazz rarity that doesnt show up too often... we would!
