TRACKLISTING: Originally one of the hardest-to-find records in the Lansdowne series and also one of the best this was the accomplished debut by Britains finest jazz group of the sixties the Don Rendell-Ian Carr Quintet. Not nearly celebrated enough Rendell & Carr were Britains answer to Miles & Coltrane. With beautiful introspective modal numbers and a fine backing group consisting of Colin Purbrook (piano) Dave Green (bass) and Trevor Tomkin (drums) this is a firm winner through & through and comes highly recommended.

Issued in a replica of the original flip-back sleeve retaining catalogue numbers and company labels from the original 1965 release plus poly-lined inner sleeve containing release specific information on one side and label hype (other titles) on the other.
