Description
Donald Byrd Royal Flush Blue Note 84101 stereo "New York USA" label
Donald Byrd (t), Pepper Adams (bar s) Herbie Hancock (piano), Butch Warren (b), Billy Higgins (d) Recorded 1961
Label is "New York USA" and shallow groove on both sides. "Van Gelder" and "The Ear" aka "P" in the runout on both sides. "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address on cover.
Record plays VG++ near M-. A really nice copy that plays quietly and beautifully except for 2 pops on "Shangri la" caused by tiny needle dig. Record looks VG++. Some light scuffs. No scratches. Vinyl and grooves look glossy and little played.
Cover is M-. A gorgeous cover.
Front cover is super bright and glossy showing little if any wear. Corners are all sharp and tight. Back cover also shiny and bright with little if any wear. Hint of staining at top at pocket. Spine is intact, bright and readable. No split seams. No writing. About as clean a cover as you could find for a Blue Note of this vintage.
I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC. BLUE NOTE 1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
