Don't Trust Your Neighbors: Early Albanian Traditional Songs & Improvisations 1920s-1930s (Hinter Records) Early Albanian 78s are whispered about in hushed tones among collectors all over the world. This, the first-ever comprehensive collection of early Albanian music, features music that has been unheard and unreleased since its creation in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The music is haunting and unforgettable. Dredged from the stalls and bazaars of Istanbul and the private stashes of the most passionate collectors, these vocal drones and improvisations are unlike any other early traditional music. Produced by Grammy award winner Christopher King (People Take Warning) and designed by award-winning graphic artist Susan Archie. Cover painting by the legendary Robert Crumb. VINYL ONLY.
