Downhill Racers – Lovin’ Pots/Lovely Vanessa (Ariola, 1977) (17678 AT) (VG-/Ex) (W.O.S.) 7”-inch single in its original German picture sleeve. HEAR IT BELOW!

 

From the Purepop blog:

“Lovin’ Pots is a very commercial sounding Teen-Glam-Bubblegum number with a wonderfully bright and loud production. It all makes sense when you realise that the J. Lange who wrote and produced the A side is none other that Robert “Mutt” Lange. My guess is that this is a pure studio creation and the group probably didn’t exist. The B-side sounds totally unrelated as it’s a delightful Psych/Pop number with more than a hint of Friends or Sunflower-era Beach Boys. Written and probably sung by Pete Dello (Ex-Honeybus of I Can’t Let Maggie Go fame), Lovely Vanessa could have easily fitted on the Pete Dello and Friends album.”

 

The vinyl is in ‘Ex’ condition and comes in its original German picture sleeve, which is in ‘VG-” condition with some Sellotape residue on both sides of the pocket. On one side the previous owner has written “7383”. On the other side there is a small area of sticker removal damage and some very minor evidence of a second sticker. There is also a very small hole the going the sleeve, visible between the two central figures. The same picture is on the reverse of the sleeve with no sticker damage, only minor evidence of the same very small hole.
