This LP is from a cherished collection of Blues/R&B vinyl owned by a 1960's R&B musician we now have the pleasure of selling.

This electrifying debut album from the legendary British R&B group who, as one critic put it, "..didn't as much interpret the sound of Chess Records as attack it, with a finesse that made the Pretty Things seem positively suave in comparison."
This respectable example is a UK 1st mono pressing on the blue/black Columbia label: 33SX 1658

Housed in a front-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Disc:
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean & glossy with some light hairlines and paper marks consistent with frequent play, but nothing deep or feelable. Some old tape adhesive is present on the side 1 label.
Audio: VERY GOOD +
Despite frequent play, this is a great sounding copy which is free from any groove wear or crackle. The energy and power of the group shines through on this rare original pressing which is free from any clocks, pops, jumps or anything else which detracts form the quality of the music
