This is the original 1966 UK issue on the Doctor Bird label. It is a very rare and very sought-after ska instrumental produced by Coxson Dodd. It was released in Jamaica in the 1960s on the Studio One label. It was later reissued in the 1970s on the Iron Side label as Doctor Ring Ding - The Skatalites. Not an easy one to find, so don't pass this by!
Dr Ring-A-Ding is a jazz-ska version of Twine Time by Alvin Cash. It starts with a killer intro stating "An emergency case for Doctor Ring Ding" before kicking off into one of the heaviest ska intrumentals of the 60s!
This record consistently fills dancefloors on the 1960s Vintage, Retro, Mod, Popcorn, Ska, Blue Beat and Reggae Dance scenes. If you are a DJ or if you just like collecting ska, then this track is a must!
