Dr. Strangely Strange - Heavy Petting.
Vertigo 6360 009.
Extremely rare first pressing which hardly sold at all and as such one of the most collectible Vertigo swirl psych/prog albums.
First of all , the album comes with a ver special sleeve, that is hardly ever found completely intact. There are two flaps that fold out and utilisThe labels are also unmarkeding these the sleeve can stand on a surface (see pic). This sleeve is in a wonderful crisp condition, however, the bottom part of the right flap is missing.It still does not really take much away of the timeless beauty of the sleeve. There is minor rubbing on the edges but nothing major.
The vinyl is top notch!! In order to be on the safe side I will rate both sides EX+ and not NM, because there are some scuffmarks from taking the LP out of the inner sleeve. On replay the sound is quite formidable, a wonderful pressing!! The labels are also unmarked and only under a strong light some light spindle marks can be observed.
The original inner swirl with polybag is still present!!!
All in all a wonderful opportunity to acquire a CLASSIC psych/prog album that will only appreciate in value in years to come.
