Description

This is the first belt-drive turntable from Dual and it rocked the industry when it came out. I bought this turntable brand new (around 1974?) on the first day it hit the local showroom.
I am moving into a small house after many years of living in a huge place with lots of good storage spots. I pulled out a bunch of old stereo stuff from the attic and found my turntable in a box. I plugged it in and it worked fine. The platter looks wonderful! I always babied this turntable and maintained it. I have not used it at all for the last 20 years, which is a shame. Age has taken some toll because I noticed that the strobe light did not go on (which likely means a bulb replacement) and that the automatic start didn't function properly. The arm wanted me to set it on the record instead of working automatically. I imagine things just might need a thorough dusting and cleaning.  Still, the tonearm is in proper balance to barely touch the album surface. In all, a thorough cleaning and service should be planned on.
I am including the original United Audio wood base and smoke dust cover. Comes with Quick Start Manual and the original Owner's Manual, too, as well as an anti-static pad. I also have the original adapter for 45s and I also have the original stacker spindle (which, of course, I never used). I will even toss in my prized D4 teak record dusting brush, as well as some things to dust with it. I found at least 50 albums in another box. To make owning this turntable the most fun possible, I am including all of the LPs from the aforementioned attic.

All of these albums have been listened to extesively over the years but only played on the Dual 1249. There may be some scratches, or maybe not. Don't know becuase I did not check each album out before listing it. Not all covers are perfect either.

I have been EBAYing since the 90's with a perfect score. Looking to spread some happy around, so the price is low. No reserve.
