Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.
We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.
We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status! Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... THE VINYL MINT- INCREDIBLE CONDITION
As you can see, this vinyl is the 1st 1976 UK pressing with the A1 B1 MATRIX etchings. This first pressing is in superb condition, AND PLAYS AMAZING!
It has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings.
There are a few light whisp lines on the vinyl when held under very bright light, nothing else visible at all on this vinyl! no scratches of marks to spoil the vinyl. Quite astonishing- Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years.
There is some spindle skate around the centre hole that suggests this LP has maybe had a handful of plays only- it really is immaculate! The vinyl sounds amazing, we listened through and ..
SONICALLY IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE - that all important opening acoustic guitar to the title track shows no hiss or crackle..wonderful!!
OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

Correct MATT Gatefold first issued earliest UK sleeve by 'GOTHIC PRESS' -- this is straight out the box from 1976 - SUPER WIDE SPINE VERSION
This is in simply incredible condition, you will not see better than this we feel!
The edges are all super clean with no traces of rub or ringwear on the front or back faces, and the tips have only the slightest sign of rub on the spine top and bottom!
NOTE- all colours and inks remain in outstanding AS NEW condition- The finish is immaculate and where as many copies have powdery wear and scuff, this sleeve remains in absolute museum condition.
One tiny pinch spider line on the spine.
No powdery white ringwear or scuff of any note, and all edges are super crisp. The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition with no hint of handling
The open out of the gatefold shows no dulling, white rub or wear at all. Pristine inks and colours. One tiny pin spot on the right side.
The spine edge is totally unsquashed and all legends are perfect-..it is quite incredible
