WOW!! For sale is an absolutely gorgeous, nearly pristine and almost certainly unplayed white label promo of Eagles - On The Border!! This was mastered by the legendary Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound and promo copies were the very first copies pressed on virgin vinyl from the original stampers resulting in the best possible audio.

The sleeve is in spectacular condition and the audio is guaranteed to be top notch with no groove wear and clear, crisp sound! The original owner (more about him below) took extremely good care of these records and only played them on high quality equipment. Many have never been opened. Many have never been played, and most that were played have only been played lightly. They have been in climate controlled storage for 30+ years. More detailed description to follow below.

A play test may be requested, but based on my experience with others in this incredible collection of similar appearance, I have been blown away by the high fidelity of these records and many satisfied customers have said the same. Truly one of the best promo copies you will ever find. TOP COPY

Sleeve: NM-

BEAUTIFUL crisp textured sleeve...these sleeves are notorious for being dirty and grimy, yet this copy is remarkably clean with only the very lightest wear showing...some discoloration along the spine which was the only part exposed to light for decades...sharp opening edges, nice corners and no creases or bends. Promo hype sticker with suggested airplay titles intact. As with most records in this collection, “From The Collection of Bob Senn” has been stamped on rear. No other writing.

Disc: NM-/EX

GORGEOUS disc retains all of it’s original glossy sheen...only the faintest wispy sleeve removal traces, faint factory “streaks” appear/disappear when tilted under bright light. There are a couple extremely light superficial marks/hairlines that also appear/disappear under bright light- almost certainly non-sounding (play check may be requested) but worth mentioning and make the visual grade closer to EX on Side Two. Truly a stunner!

Disc appears unplayed, or if at all, played and handled very little. As with many of the records in this collection, there is a very good chance it is truly unplayed and guaranteed to have NO GROOVE WEAR, providing crisp, clear, STUNNING audio! TOP COPY

Labels: NM-

White Promo Labels are near perfect with no unwanted writing or marks. No spindle traces or evidence of play. Slight discoloration spot on side one.

Inner: NM

Original black inner sleeve is unsplit, untorn and uncreased. No unwanted writing. A small white spot is on one side.

Insert: NM

Original poster is in perfect condition...never hung and no tears or creases.

This copy is from the collection of Bob Senn - a renowned Santa Barbara, California DJ and program director for KTMS FM “The Rock on the Coast”. When Mr. Senn passed, his collection was acquired by my friend who has commissioned me to help sell them. Grading System:

SS (Still Sealed)

Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
