Earl "Fatha" Hines, Plays Hits He Missed, M&K RealTime, Direct to Disc, German pressing. Personnel includes Red Callender on bass and Bill Douglass on drums. Tracks include Birdland, Blue Monk, Humoresque, Squeeze Me & Ain't Misehavin', Sophisticated Lady, Old-Fashioned Love, Misty, and The Preacher. This is a listing for a superb copy of this great Direct to Disc piece. The record visually grades in beautiful near mint condition. It play grades as near mint plus! I have only played it twice . . . once when I initially acquired it and recently when I recorded it for play grading and archival purposes. On a scale from 1 to 10, where 9.0 is equal to a near mint grade and 10.0 is equal to "stone cold mint," this record easily gets the 9.8 grade. The jacket gets a VG++ grade due mainly to flaws that were likely incurred at the pressing plant or during shipping. The flaws consist mainly of moderate seam wrinkles stemming from the edges. There is a bottom right corner crunch that is more pronounced on the back cover than on the front. Shipping charges are for up to three records.
