Description
For sale - from my personal collection - the following LP:
ARTIST: EARL "FATHA" HINES (1903-1983) and his NEW EARL HINES TRIO
TITLE: FATHA
original 1965 pressing on Columbia Records SBPG 62527, STEREO, made in ENGLAND. Original plastic and paper inner sleeve. Flipback design cover.
I acquired this album about twenty years ago from the original family who has owned it since new.
CONDITION:
- front cover is between Exc. and NM (having: a few minor creases by spine; some light ring-shelf wear over the laminated folio)
- back cover is between Exc. to NM (having the bottom right corner slightly bumped; no ring or shelf wear)
- date 7/IX/65 entered by hand in blue pen near the upper left corner-edge plus a few more handwritten notes not obstructing the text
- vinyl is MINT both sides (VISUAL GRADING)
COMMENTS:
Featuring Earl Hines (piano, leader) with Ahmed Abdul Malik (bass) and Oliver Jackson (drums). Vocals by Earl Hines added on two tracks.
12 tracks, studio recordings. Produced by Frank Driggs. High quality early modern jazz music. A must-have Earl "Fatha" Hines LP. Mega rare album, the only copy I've ever seen. A collector's item, highly recommended!
