Description

This auction is for a copy of the early SELF TITLED ALBUM, 'THE DOORS' (see pics). This 12" LP is CAT NUMBER EKL-4007 and is a MONO PRESSING.

Please note that the cover is factory printed in two places that the record is the stereo version, however, the front of the cover has a MONAURAL STICKER and the album labels also state that the LP is MONO.

Record grading:

Mint (M)   Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed.(More on still sealed under "Other Considerations"). Should be used sparingly as a grade, If at all.

Near Mint (NM or M-) - A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying that no record is ever truly perfect.

Very Good Plus (VG+) - Generally worth 50 percent of the Near Mint value.

A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.

Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK".

The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play.

Very Good (VG)   Generally worth 25 percent of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)   Generally worth 10-15 percent of the Near Mint value. Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white).

Poor (P), Fair (F)   Generally worth 0-5 percent of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.

*Condition: Seller grades the vinyl VG++ (much better than VG+). LP looks to have had little play. Vinyl is shiny.

Cover has wear and some surface veining. No end splits. Dust sleeve is excellent.

*SHIPPING: All items ship via USPS (United States Postal Service). All GLASS items will ship via Priority mail (no exceptions). Seller ships six days per week and orders are usually shipped out in less than 24 hours. Seller ships via Priority, Standard, Media or 1st class, depending on the weight and value of item/items being shipped (whatever is most sensible). Additional requested postal services will be added at the buyers expense. Tracking is included for free on all shipping levels.

*RETURNS: Seller provides honest discriptions of items being sold so returns should not be an issue. However, if a sold item does have an issue that the seller failed to see and note in the listing, seller will of coarse work to correct the problem.

*ELECTRONICS: Some electronic parts are micro-marked by the seller. This is done to protect the seller from part/item swapping.

*VINYL LP's: Due to home technology/equipment that allows the user to transfer vinyl recordings to digital, no refunds will be offered. All vinyl sales are final. Seller uses standard grading guidelines.

*Multiple auction wins will always receive combined shipping. Example: A bidder who wins (3) auctions will have all three items shipped in the same box for a lower price instead of the total shipping cost to ship all three items separately.

*PAYMENT: A non-payment case will be opened on the 3rd day after auction closes. If you need a bit more time to pay, please contact the seller.

*SELLER NEVER CHARGES EXTRA FOR HANDLING OR SHIPPING SUPPLIES!

*International bidders: International bidders are welcome but must go through ebays GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM. Once the seller ships the package to Ebays Global Shipping Warehouse in the USA, ebay prepares and then re-ships the package to whatever country the buyer lives in. SELLER WILL NOT SHIP ANY ITEM INTERNATIONALLY UNLESS IT GOES THROUGH EBAYS GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM. SELLER WILL NOT SHIP DIRECTLY TO INTERNATIONAL ADDRESSES.

*SORRY - NO SELF PICKUPS...
