FROM THE EARLY "WARSAW AUTUMNS",
POLISH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
MAINLY DEVOTED TO MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC,
since 1956 (except 1957 and 1982). Many world "premières", mainly polish repertoire and musicians but also foreign composers, conductors and virtuosos.

THESE 1950'S LP ARE VERY RARELY SEEN.
The 10 CD box "Polish Collection of the Warsaw Autumn" does not include this concert.
According to "Polish Music since Szymanowski" by Adrian Thomas, it is very probably the "Offrandes Oubliées", a "symponic meditation" composed in 1930, and these is not the polish première, the same conductor having already played it in 1953-54.

SLEEVE CONDITION : VG+ (clean, light foxing)


RECORD CONDITION : G+ (nice surface but shows few tiny accidents and short hairscratches = local crackling with occasional average cracks, but the background is mostly VG++ /// these early "Autumns" LP are not made with premium wax, and apparently the very first numbers were diffused without inner sleeve /// high dynamics, nice sound, enjoyable as document)
