EARTH FREE - "Earth Free" aka "Conjerti, Morreale & Dibley"

ORIGINAL vintage 1972 LP record Sundance Records MC-5729B

Lonely lost moody folk and folk/rock private pressing. Have seen it labelled "dreamy folk/psych". I'm a psych collector too but more into the Sound of 1967/68, so this I'm not really up on this folky stuff - people use terms like "wasted vibe, acid vocals, snakey guitar leads" and I usually can't see it in this stuff. I see it in Tripsichord and Dragonfly though! But this is a real good LP. I like it and and I can see why other people like it. And they sure do like it, if you've seen what it's been going for since the buzz on it has spread. But I'll let the hype on it - that you've probably already heard - speak for itself.

Note: I put a Reserve of $150 on this. Another sealed copy sold for $315 recently (4054142496), so seems fair. If it doesn't sell, we'll see ......

Overall, well-written songs with good lyrics. There's a vibe of existential loneliness and melancholy running throughout. I think someone labelled this Christian, there's nothing you can specifically pin down as Xian except a few phrases and titles suggesting it... but in the credits is listed this: "Life- Jesus Christ." The overall vibe, though, the spiritual despair suggests that, if they'd gone on, they might have become full-fledged Christian.

This is SEALED (guaranteed to be Sealed in ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINKWRAP- NOT A RESEALED LP).
I already have a NM/NM keeper copy, don't need a sealed one so here it goes. I see another Seller described his sealed copy as having a slight storage warp (noting that "all copies do"). Well, I don't know where those were stored, but I dug up this sealed one together with a "NM/NM shrink-popped-open" copy in the band's hometown and both are NOT warped. And neither is the one in my collection. NO WARPING detectable by sight or feel. Looks straight as an arrow.

The cover IS Mint and perfect.
There's NO cutouts, drillholes, stains, tears, fading, writing, stickers, moisture damage or mildew. NO worn seams or spine cracking, no ringwear. NO bent corners, no dogears, no dings. PERFECT CORNERS, SEAMS AND SPINE.
Shrinkwrap is basically perfect too. The only POSSIBLE flaw is a small shrink seperation on a seam near the spine. Small, less than 1", not torn, no piece missing and no danger of it enlarging.
