Description
Here is a very unusual and rare record.
Eddie Cantor's Sunday Evening Program (misspelled as Eddy)
Recorded by film sound journeyman George Tallian.
I believe this 10" record to play at 33, the "pro" speed for the time.
Dated September 19, 1936. This was actually a Saturday. So probably relates to the September 20, 1946 program, which featured the radio debut of Deanna Durbin, singing IL BACIO. I have no player to test this, so this date is a guess. It could also relate to the September 13, 1936 show I suppose. But my best guess would be Sept 20.
On visual inspection at several angles under bright light, I would grade this record as about VG+. There are some scratches but certainly looks very playable, and should still sound pretty darn good. The green label side has more scratches than the white side (shown). The white label side is very, very clean.
Reverse label is plain green. Acetate may be metal or glass composition (coated of course). My guess is aluminum, but I am not sure.
