Description
Excellent scarce vintage jazz LP featuring EDDIE COSTA TRIO. This is on the DOT label, from 1959. Title is “House of Blue Lights.” Catalog number is DLP 25206, stereo pressing, medium thick vinyl. Label is black with silver print, with deep groove.
Personnel are as follows: EDDIE COSTA – piano; WENDELL MARSHALL – bass; and PAUL MOTIAN – drums.
Jacket is in very nice shape, only problem is some splitting and cracking along the top seam. Bottom seam and spine are fine. Artwork is nice and clean, no writing or other flaws, overall a very presentable jacket. This album apparently was a “giveaway” copy with purchase of a stereo system, as evidenced by the presence of a small rectangular sticker on reverse, stating “This Packard Bell * Dot stereo album courtesy of your Packard Bell Dealer.” (see scan).
Vinyl is gorgeous near mint. Has probably only been played one or two times at most, gloss is stunning, fidelity is awesome. This is a beauty, and I am confident the winning bidder will be very pleased.
Side One contains following songs: “The House of Blue Lights” ( 10:01); “My Funny Valentine” (6:58); and “Diane” (4:28).
Side Two contains following tunes: “Annabelle” (4:07); “When I Fall in Love” (4:07); and “What’s To Ya” (9:26).
