Description
Edwin Bruce Sun #285 78 RPM single, titled "More Than Yesterday” original pressing. This is a must-have for any rockabilly or Sun records enthusiast. The record grading is a VG+ with a few inaudible scuffs that show in the picture. I play tested it and the visible scuff in the upper right corner didn’t make a sound. I was actually blown away how well this record played, but it has visible marks so I will grade conservatively. It is truly a rare find, straight from my father’s collection. The matrix numbers are etched U-262 and U-263. Thanks for looking and check back as I have some major Suns and much more! I’ll be posting all soon.
I ship USPS Priority with a flat rate within the US. I recommend insurance as I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged records. That said I pack all records professionally in 78 and 45 specific boxes with a padding process I upgraded from just traditional cardboard squares alone. I will combine records at no further charge but will not put more than two 78’s or three 45’s per box. I have never had a record damaged in transit and have shipped the most fragile 45’s and 78’s all over the globe. If you require full insurance please contact me for final shipping fee. MY 78 RPM GRADING SYSTEM (I no longer use the vjm grading system)
(Note: I now play each record I sell once for extremely accurate grading. I use an AT 120X-USB BT turntable with upgraded, removable 45 and 78 specific needles/styli (as 78 grooves are cut differently from 45’s and the wrong needle will sound noisy and can damage a record, for those that don’t already know that of course).
(Mint-) My highest grade, a gem quality like new disc with full blazing gloss. Why Mint- and not Mint? Even brand new records are not always absolutely perfect so I don't like to call them that even though they may actually be.
(VG++) A very well cared for disc. Shows minor signs of use like some very light paper scuffs. Vinyl still retains its gloss and plays superb. Highly collectible
(VG+) Still a cared for disc, though showing more signs of use such as more light scuffing that cannot be felt or affect play. Vinyl retains all or the majority of its original gloss and playback fidelity is still excellent.
(VG) Often the most misunderstood and misrepresented grade in the industry. My VG's are clean playing, skip free records. Vinyl displays more scuffs but gloss is still present. Playback still has nice fidelity. There may be some light surface noise
6 (VG-) Vinyl has many more scuffs and scratches, some will still have gloss left, others may not. Many of these often play quite well and make very acceptable fillers until a better one comes along. After test playing, I will usually mark these as plays clean or plays OK (very acceptable). If not noted, disc may playback with some minor surface noise and/or ticks.
5 (G+) Close to the same as a VG-, the playback far surpasses its looks.
4 (G & G-) I don’t sell this grade record.
