Originally called The People and noted for launching the careers of Henry McCullough and Ernie Graham, and for having Jimi Hendrix play on, and produce, their only album
Jimi Hendrix played and produce Eire Apparent's only album. Throughout the album it has the distinctive sounds of Jimi Hendrix. Even 40 years on this album is still worth listening too.
Eire Apparent's Sunrise album is amazingly well known, especially as among Jimi Hendrix fans, as the guitarist produced the band only album plus played on parts of it. When listening to it one wonders how many people have ever actually listened to the album, as it turns out to be, amazingly tuneful, and occasionally bold within the psychedelic/classic rock scene. The mix of lyrical acoustic, electric guitar sounds, very tasteful light orchestrations (strings and horns), and trippy lyrical conceits it all works extremely well; this is a surprising psychedelic/classic rock release, which is gently trippy throughout the album, but has amazing contributions on selected tracks by the worlds greatest guitarist of all time. The one and only Jimi Hendrix.
