Eduardo Mateo one of the most important uruguayan musicians, he made a turning point on the uruguayan music.

He started in late 50´s influenced by the bossa nova, Joao Gilberto was one of his favourites. At the end of the 60´s he started playing in a Band called los Malditos, influenced by the beatles. This band later will turn into EL KINTO.

Then he mixed Bossa nova, local Rhytms like candombe,  reaching the mix of candombe and beat, that we use to call "fussion"
