Description
This is a very fine copy from a 1997 U.K. archival LP of a December 1967 performance in Stockholm, Sweden, by the Electric Prunes. The show was recorded towards the end of the original group's tenure, and shows them to have been an accomplished live act. The record has eight tracks, three from their debut LP (including the two hits), two from their second LP, the b-side to their final single, "You Never Had It Better," and covers of "I've Got My Mojo Workin'" and "Smokestack Lightning." The recording has been reissued a few times, but this pressing represents the first time it was issued in any format. The gatefold jacket is close to pristine -- a strong M-. The disc is clean with a little light scraping and scuffing, and plays with a little light surface noise (M-). The side 1 disc label has some rippling (see photo). The record comes with a 16-page booklet of pix from a photo shoot the group did in London (M-) and a two-sided card-stock insert (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
