ELECTRONIC SOUND MAGAZINE 76 + LIMITED EDITON YELLOW VINYL 45RPM 7" (new/sealed) CHRIS & COSEY SINGLE
Seven-inch record featuring a previously unreleased mix of 'October (Love Song)' and a never-before-heard piece called 'Jamming Tottenham, 1982' to accompany the magazine .
There is an in-depth interview with Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti, who look back over the highs and lows of their incredible musical partnership, which they formed straight after Throbbing Gristle imploded. The fact that Chris and Cosey are a couple has always been central to everything the pair have done, including the 20-odd albums they have released under a range of different guises, as well as their various solo works. Their industriousness and devotion to both their art and to each other over the course of four decades is certainly a cause for celebration, as we’re sure you’ll agree.
Also there is a Kris Needs article about Alan Vega’s ’Mutator’, a long-lost solo album by the Suicide frontman, Depeche Mode song machine Martin Gore as he releases a solo EP about monkeys (with artwork by an actual monkey).Also Gazelle Twin, Rusty Egan, Leon Vynehall, The RAH Band, Jenny Hval and Spöön Fazer.
The limited edition yellow vinyl seven-inch features a peviously unreleased mix of Chris & Cosey's classic 'October (Love Song)'.
"It’s one of the tracks we’ve consistently revisited and reworked over the decades, mostly because it’s a favourite of many of our fans,” says Cosey.
The B-side is 'Jamming Tottenham, 1982', an improvised piece that has never been heard before. It was recorded just after the pair had left Throbbing Gristle. "We used to play together for hours in our studio in Crouch End and when we moved to our house in Tottenham," says Chris. "It was like a form of therapy, driving out the post-traumatic stress of being in TG."
