Description
For sale is ELLA FITZGERALD and the Gordon Jenkins Orchestra: "Invite You To Listen and Relax," on Decca DL 8696, Mono, DG, 1958.
SOUND: VG or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Side A started with a few ticks and a little crackly, especially cut A1. The sound got progressively better as side A continued, becoming quite clean. Side B sounds very nice, very clean. Would be at least VG+ on its own. Overall, a very acceptable playback!
VINYL: VG A couple small, feel-able marks on A1, the rest of side A has a few superficial scuffs. Side B looks very nice with only minor, routine wear. Small black DG labels. The disk has a flat edge.
JACKET: VG Small 1-inch split top right edge, otherwise solid all-around in good condition. Front and back covers are clean and unmarked, with minor routine shelf-wear. Small tape-pulls center-opening.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
