Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy was the ninth studio album released by Elton John. The album reached No. 1 on the charts selling 1.4 million copies in just the first four days after its 1975 release on MCA Records.

This copy is from the first pressing and is still in its original factory shrink wrap. It includes all the extras that came with this release. The 22" x 17" Captain Fantastic poster, 16-page Lyrics Booklet, 16-page "Scraps" Booklet, and Elton John Fan Club flyer are all in mint condition. The packaging is VG+ but the disc is VG because it has one spot on the first track on side 2 that has a single skip which I made no effort to clean.

In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 45 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale. Like all used records it should be cleaned with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
