This record is in very good condition. It has just a few faint spindle marks visible on each label and no pen marks, scuffs or fading. The labels have no grubbiness and are clean, bright and in great shape.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or serious and overall are very clean. There are however a few light marks and lines present which are visible in normal light and I have tried to capture in the pictures above. They are nothing sinister or really nasty but are there nonetheless and are faintly visible. The record has no really nasty scuffs, serious deep marks or blemishes, has lovely shine(ruby red when held to direct light) and overall it is clean for its age.
I play tested the record and it played well overall with no major issues such as skips or sticks and it lays flat with little to no arm movement.
There is however occasional light interference in places, mostly in the form of very light faint ticks. There is no serious levels of surface noise or distortion caused by wear and excessive use, but the light ticks in some of the quieter parts are there and have resulted in the lower grading. I noted a series of very light ticks in track 1 on side 1(caused by the light smudge/scuff pictured above). These can be heard faintly, in parts, for the first minute or so of this track. Although audible on my good quality deck(fitted with SME 3009 arm) they are light and not hugely disruptive or the sort of clicks caused by deep marks. There is also a similar series(25ish) of light ticks from the beginning of track 4 on side 1. These are again light but audible due to mellow nature of the intro.
Other than these two prolonged series of light ticks there is the odd splutter and occasional faint pop in places but as I have said no serious surface noise. Overall the audio with any volume is excellent and of good quality but due to the light ticks I have had to grade as VG. I feel the record is still a very enjoyable listen but due to the light ticks in some of the quieter places maybe not for the purists or audiophiles out there.
The textured gatefold sleeve is in excellent+ condition. It has only a very minor amount of rubbing/wear to the edges and corners(pics), and the writing along the spine is all clearly legible. There are no splits, tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere and little to no ring marks or creasing. Inside the gatefold is near perfect with the booklet still firmly attached and next to no fading or issues to report. Overall the sleeve is in excellent condition for its age and has just the mild edge wear and rubbing in places to report. Please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible to its condition.
It contains its original plain white inner which is in very good+ condition with no problems such as splits, tears or pen marks but with some creasing and age related discolouring.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
