SINGLE SIDED GREEN LABEL DEMO
UK Elvis collectors are very well aware that any green label demonstration sample records from the 1950s and 1960s, manufactured by The Decca Record Company are very rare and thus sought highly after. And the main reason for this is that so few (estimates say that this was less than a couple of hundred) were manufactured and were, of course, never intended for the general public who at the time knew nothing about these records. This one did not even show the catalogue number - RCA 1988.
Naturally, the single sided records are most collectible and this particular one is EXTRA special. Not only does it date from late 1958 (making it well over 52 years old) but the label copy shows the title not as ALL SHOOK UP but rather ALL SHOCK UP (see second picture) - a clear printing error at the factory.
This important piece of Elvis memorabilia is, thus, very desirable. The condition of the vinyl is excellent while the label copy, apart from a blemish where a sticker has been applied and later removed, is extremely good. Please note that unlike most demos, this one does not show the timing of the record which was usually written on by hand.
