Description

From popsike.com: This is Elvis' very first record album LPM-1254. Made in 1956. This is the 1st pressing, with the P. D. credit (public domain) on the song "Just Because". This record has the lowest matrix numbers: G2 PP1282-1S  G2 PP1283-1S (on both sides) [some other LPM-1254 have for example 5S & 3S sides on the same record] 
From Wikipedia: The album spent ten weeks at number one on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in 1956, the first rock and roll album ever to make it to the top of the charts,[10] and the first million-selling album of that genre.

Vinyl is visually a strong VG per Goldmine Standards - surface scuffs and “hairlines” that have minor effect on audio, scattered light crackles in quiet spots - nothing dire, don't hear once the drums kick in. Very pronounced vocal and overall mix..All in all, I'd say it’s great sounding for a 69-year-old record. Record labels are VG+ with very mild surface wear and light wear around spindle hole.

As mentioned above, Cover is nice, VG+, bright colors still, very solid with just a tiny 1” spot of “purfling” along the bottom edge middle..small initials bottom right corner…includes what looks to be the proper period inner sleeve…
